Time waits for no man- or WEW3
Technical problems such as the hall being locked and a part missing from the volleyball posts created havoc in the beginning as it seemed as if the match would not go ahead. However, after a lot of panicking and rushing around it all got sorted and we got off to a late start.

The first set was began very close with Oliva ARCHIBALD getting in with some strong hits and Marie HENAULT providing great defence and setting. However, the pre-match stress had caused some distress and Dynamo Dykes Free took full advantage of this and went on to win the set 25-13 but not without a fight from WEW3.

By the second set the team had settled down and Emma GITTUS was on a roll with some great tipping at the net that foxed the super-tall ladies of the opposition. Then, tragedy struck and she twisted her ankle and had to be helped off court. A quick substitution by coach Julie KOUAMO and Anna WALLACE came in showing Dynamo Dykes that she meant business with some super strong serves. It was a close call, but Eagles pulled through to win the set 26-24.

With time running short due to the late start, the third set was to be the deciding set with 1 each to DD3 and WEW3. It was a close game throughout with DD3 and WEW3 neck and neck. Zainab HAQ and Kristina PODHOLICKA were hitting hard over the net with service kept solid by Willemjn ZANDT and Lieve DEBEERST. However, the match was not to be for WEW3 and DD3 won by a close 25-23.

Despite the defeat the team played a superb game with it being the debut game with the club and team for a number of players. Hats off to everyone for not getting confused on court, as despite our new rotation system we only had to stop once to check on where we should have been; the coaches have taught us well. So big congrats to the team and lets win the next game! Finally, last but not least, thanks to Vicky for scoring and her continued support to the team despite her long term injury.
