In
brief...
The 2005-06 season
was very successful for the club, with our profile being
raised by good runs in the National Cups and the london
Challenge. The men's first and second teams competed
well and eventually took 2nd and 3rd positions in the
highly competitive London League, with the men's first
team showing they could mix it withg the best by beating
over half of the National League Division 1 teams during
the season.
Unfortunately, the
success wasn't universal with the women's first team
suffering relegation from the London Premier Division.
However, the ladies managed to succesfully establish
the third team, despite some teething troubles.

Teams...
There are currently 7teams in the
White Eagles Volleyball Club, 3 women and 4 men teams.
In addition to these teams, coaches Carlos Johnson and
John Lowney have run the Junior Program that has seen
the successful selection of WEVC Junior club members
in the England Junior Squad. These teams play under
the name of Graveney White Eagles or Ernest Bevin White
Eagles, which is also the name of our fourth team in
the men's section of the London League.
The near
future...
White Eagles as a club
have a number of challenges ahead of them for the coming
year. The size of the club continues to expand and this
growth has to be managed to ensure that the club remains
as friendly and well integrated as it is now.
Our desperate search
for new halls should soon come to an end with the completion
of a new multicourt sports hall in one of our linked
schools. This should allow the club to continue to offer
the highest quality coaching in the best environments.
Finally, with the current
crop of juniors rapidly reaching adulthood, there is
a need to develop the next crop and start bringing these
through into the senior teams.
